Tattoo

written by Kerry E.B. Black

Certain you’d remain

I allowed the ink

to penetrate my heart,

invade my very blood,

color my senses.

Then without a word

you ripped from my skin

my love’s masterful art,

fed upon the blood

of my poisoned trust.
